They have now widened their base to include Home and Garden and more specifically DIY which is where our products come in. 15th December 2010 | Santa”s Sleigh will be heardFather Christmas had lost his clapper but all is well after a quick trip to Graphskill Ltd.The Rotary Club of Workington Derwent, who take Santa”s Sleigh around the streets of Workington over the festive season, had lost Santa”s clapper from his bell. However, Graphskill came to the rescue making a new one & securing it firmly with one of their new range of stainless steel self-locking nuts. Thankfully, the excited children of Workington can still listen out for Santa! 31st July 2010 | “Holy boat”…..Graphskill to the rescue!![]() Holey Boat! “Pipe Dream”, the dinghy Graphskill are sponsoring during the Inland Nationals later this year, had a collision on the first day of the sailing regatta at Bassenthwaite today (31st July 2010). The massive hole it sustained nearly sank the vessel as it was being towed to shore by the rescue team.However, a trip to Graphskill to collect a sheet of PTFE enabled the team, Tim Knowles and Martin Statter, to continue sailing the weak long regatta with the temporary repair. The “Pipe Dream” team even went on to win the silver fleet series during the week |

4th March 2009 | University helps to enhance quality![]() Lancaster University aids qualiity This week the new manufacturing software, developed jointly by Graphskill & Lancaster University, was upload onto the company network for its ”live” performance within the Quality & Production Control systems at Graphskill. The new system is a quantum leap for the Company as not only does it brings together many of the old fragmented manufacturing software, but it also has many new features which cover the whole spectrum of our standard product manufacturing. The new system guarantees replication of quality but is still flexible enough to accommodate new products or improved production technology. It has revolutionized our systems of control in all aspects of the business… a further step forward towards our goal of 100% customer service! |

The ”Best Business Award” was the top prize of the annual ceremony. Graphskill was selected for its overall achievements in business encompassing: business growth, product development & innovation, entry into new markets and sound HR, social & environmental responsibilities. The event was hosted by newsreader, Fiona Armstrong with guest speaker Sahar Hashemi, founder of Coffee Republic. |

Company Founder, Tom Statter collected the winnings… with a security escort! |
28th September 2005 | Blair & Bush recognise the achievement …![]() Neil Graham receives his award from global leaders Neil Graham, Graphskill’s Production Manager. was presented with his 20 years’ service award by the world leaders at a special dinner tonight. Neil was instumental in the development of the SERIES 1205 pipe support system |
8th October 2004 | The SERIES 1205 romps home at the Races![]() Carole & Martin & Jenny Pitman Today Graphskill was presented the ”Pride of Cumbria” business award for innovation. The ceremony took place at the newly renovated Carlisle Race course. Martin Statter & Carole Mulholland collected the award from famous horse trainer Jenny Pitman. The Series 1205 pipe support system was judged to beat 19 other entrants as the most innovative product to come out of Cumbria this year. |

10th January 2003 | First Direct Export to… the USA![]() Export to the USA Last week, Graphskill shipped a consignment of metal tiebars to an American Hardware distributor. The order represents a significant landmark for the company. Martin Statter, the MD, believes the web-site attracted the American buyer. He said ” It is not a hugely substantial order, but it is a toe in the water for us & we are confident it will lead to bigger things” |
24th March 2002 | The Duke of York meets Graphskill![]() Prince Andrew meets Carole Mulholland ![]() Prince Andrew meets Martin Statter Today Prince Andrew was in Copeland to meet Cumbrian exporting companies at West Lakes Technology Park, in his role as Special Rep. for British Trading Internatinal. He chatted for 5 minutes to Graphskill’s Managing Director, Martin Statter, who was describing their products & exporting plans for the future Duke of york visit… Prince Charming Prince Andrew was also introduced to Carole Mulholland, Graphskill”s Works Administrator, who said ” …he was genuinely interested in what we manufactured & was perfectly charming!” |
